A demographic data series exploring the contemporary characteristics of non-monogamous families across both countries.
Family Snapshots is a periodic data series that documents the demographic characteristics of polyamorous and non-monogamous families across Canada and the United States. New snapshots are published periodically, building over time into a longitudinal picture of these family structures.
The series covers household structure, parenting arrangements, economic circumstances, geographic distribution, and legal experiences. It is designed to provide researchers, practitioners, and policymakers with accessible, reliable demographic data on a population that standard census instruments largely fail to capture.
All snapshots are freely available. To be notified when new snapshots are published, contact CFJR directly.
