Intimate Partner Violence and Abuse in Polyamorous Families

This working paper documents the structural barriers preventing non-monogamous IPVA survivors from accessing support services. Drawing on longitudinal fieldwork with 64+ polyamorous families, the paper finds that 97% of survivors had to misrepresent their family structure to access help. Available in two versions covering Canadian and U.S. policy contexts separately.
